His highly publicized legal battles alongside partner Crook in 1999 propelled Miami into the spotlight as a hub for the rebellious art form. Now, 25 years later, the Museum of Graffiti honors Crome's influential legacy with the exhibition "A Mouth Full of Crome." Sixty years ago, Cassius Clay, later more famously known as Muhammad Ali, went head-to-head against the fearsome Sonny Liston at the Miami Beach Convention Center for the heavyweight boxing champion title. The gym in which Ali trained, 5th Street Gym, was located right on Washington Avenue, so to celebrate the historic fight, the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District is staging an exhibition highlighting Muhammad Ali's 60th Anniversary with the help of the HistoryMiami Museum.
